About the conference
A regional forum for HPC in Latin America
The use and development of High Performance Computing in Latin America is steadily growing. The capabilities provided by clusters, grids and distributed systems promote research and innovation, and many applications now rely heavily on HPC infrastructure.
Building on the success of the previous five editions, CARLA 2019 was held in Turrialba, Costa Rica. Its main goal is to provide a regional forum that fosters the growth of the HPC community in Latin America through the exchange and dissemination of new ideas, techniques and research in HPC and its application areas.
Conference Proceedings
Published with Springer CCIS
Accepted papers were published in the Springer CCIS series, Communications in Computer and Information Science, and extended abstracts appeared in the journal Tecnología en Marcha.
Host city
Turrialba, Cartago
The Atlantic Campus of the University of Costa Rica hosts the conference in a green, warm region known for coffee, rivers and the Turrialba volcano.
